Mr. Muhammad Np, the Managing Director of Abjar Advertising, has a story that is both inspiring and transformative. In 2001, Mr. Muhammad was working at a printing press in Abu Dhabi, where he noticed a significant gap in the market. At that time, cafeteria and restaurant menus were simple lists of items on laminated white paper. This posed a challenge for Arabic-speaking customers, as most of the cafeterias and restaurants were owned and managed by individuals who did not speak Arabic well. dining experience.
Mr. Muhammad, a passionate graphic designer and photographer, saw an opportunity to make a difference. He studied the problem in the market and came up with a creative solution: a visually appealing menu that featured professionally photographed items with their names in both Arabic and English. This innovative approach not only solved the language barrier but also enhanced the overall dining experience.
Taking a bold step, Mr. Muhammad resigned from his job at the printing press and invested in a computer and a camera. He set up a small table in the living room of his apartment in Sharjah and began his entrepreneurial journey. Little did he know that his startup would soon boom, capturing the market’s attention and rapidly growing into a successful business.
Fast forward to today, Abjar Advertising operates in three GCC countries: UAE, Oman, and Qatar (after a successful exit, selling it to a managing group). Mr. Muhammad’s vision didn’t stop at menu design. Along the way, he started multiple businesses to support the F&B industry, including Abcon Branding for logo and brand setup, a printing press for menu printing, packaging plants for various food packaging and carry bags, a signboard division, and a professional media team for photography and videography. His journey from a small apartment in Sharjah to leading a multi-faceted advertising company across the GCC is a testament to his innovative spirit and relentless dedication.
